Course description

A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines that cut, shape, and finish materials like metal, wood, or plastic. They interpret blueprints, adjust machine settings, monitor production, and ensure the final product meets quality standards. CNC operators also perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to keep machines running efficiently.

What will i learn?

  • 1. Use an understanding of general and machine (G & M) code to generate or edit a program which will operate a CNC lathe.
  • 2. Apply mathematical methods to calculate Cartesian coordinates.
