Course description

Disaster management involves planning, coordinating, and implementing strategies to prevent, mitigate, respond to, and recover from natural and man-made disasters. It includes risk assessment, emergency preparedness, resource mobilization, and rehabilitation efforts to minimize loss of life, property, and environmental damage. Effective disaster management relies on early warning systems, community awareness, and collaboration between governments, organizations, and local communities.

What will i learn?

• Students having acquired on the basic knowledge and information on DRR and CC are well prepared to respond to such hazards.
• Students disseminate the acquired knowledge, skills and techniques with the people living in and around them.
• Better safeguard their lives structural and nonstructural elements at risk in pre, during and post disasters situation with the knowledge acquired.
