Course description

A Solar Thermal Engineer specializing in Industrial Process Heat designs and implements solar thermal systems to generate high-temperature heat for industrial applications. This includes integrating solar collectors, heat exchangers, and thermal storage to support processes like drying, steam generation, and chemical production. By replacing fossil fuels with solar energy, these engineers enhance energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and lower operational costs in industries such as food processing, textiles, and manufacturing.

What will i learn?

• The trainee will be exposed to design solar thermal technologies solutions for industrial process heat applications.
• The trainee will be ensured installation, testing and commissioning of solar thermal systems
• The trainee will be able to carry out proper maintenance of solar thermal systems
• The trainee will maintain personal health & safety at the solar thermal project site
