Solid waste management involves the collection, transportation, processing, recycling, and disposal of waste materials in an environmentally responsible manner. It includes techniques such as waste segregation, composting, recycling, and energy recovery to minimize landfill use and pollution. Effective waste management promotes sustainability, conserves resources, and reduces environmental and health hazards in urban and industrial areas.
