Course description

This course provides fundamental knowledge and skills required for intensive care management. It covers critical care principles, patient monitoring, ventilator support, hemodynamic stabilization, and emergency interventions. Students will learn about ICU protocols, infection control, and life-saving procedures. The course integrates hands-on training with case-based learning for effective patient care.

• Care of unconscious adult and pediatric patients.
• Physiotherapy techniques, feeding, Ryle’s tube insertion and hyper alimentation.
• Students will learn about Basic nursing and different techniques.
• Students will learn about the Positioning of patient for different operations: Problems and hazards.
• Apparatus and techniques of measuring of blood pressure and temperature; Principle and working of direct/indirect blood pressure monitoring apparatus; structure, principle and working of the oscillotonometer. Principles and working of aneroid manometer type
