Course description

Basic Intensive Care focuses on the essential principles of managing critically ill patients in an intensive care setting. It covers monitoring, life support, ventilator management, and emergency interventions. Proper intensive care is crucial for stabilizing patients and improving survival rates.

• They will get knowledge about Oxygen therapy, maintenance of clear Airway equipment.
• Care of unconscious adult and pediatric patients.
• Physiotherapy techniques, feeding, Ryle’s tube insertion and hyper alimentation.
• Students will learn about Basic nursing and different techniques.
• Students will learn about the Positioning of patient for different operations: Problems and hazards.
• Apparatus and techniques of measuring of blood pressure and temperature; Principle and working of direct/indirect blood pressure monitoring apparatus; structure, principle and working of the oscillotonometer. Principles and working of aneroid manometer type
