Course description

Binocular Vision I covers the fundamental principles of how both eyes work together to create a single, three-dimensional image. It includes topics like eye coordination, depth perception, and fusion of visual inputs from both eyes. Proper binocular vision is essential for accurate spatial awareness and visual comfort. Disorders of binocular vision can lead to issues like double vision and strabismus.

What will i learn?

  • CO1:Understand the concepts of grades of Binocular vision and Fundamental theories of binocular vision.
  • CO2: Apply knowledge in binocular muscle coordination and integration of motor and sensory system into binocular vision.
  • CO3: Identify non strabismic anomalies related to accommodation
  • CO4: Evaluate different types of strabismic anomalies - horizontal, vertical, torsional, paralytical& mechanical restrictive.
  • CO5: Create differential binocular visual condition practice in daily basis.
