Course description

Climate change, sustainability, and organizations are interconnected in addressing environmental challenges and promoting responsible business practices. Climate change, driven by greenhouse gas emissions, leads to global warming and environmental disruptions. Sustainability focuses on balancing economic growth, social well-being, and environmental protection. Organizations play a crucial role in mitigating climate change by adopting sustainable practices, reducing carbon footprints, and promoting eco-friendly innovations. Through corporate social responsibility (CSR) and green policies, businesses contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future.

What will i learn?

• Students will be exposed to current climate change issues, challenges and debates
• They will be sensitive to its implications for organisations in different sectors
• The course will equip the students of Management to develop strategies for perspective planning of organisations
• The student will develop an understanding of perspectives on SDGs, sustainability and development in the context of organisations
• Argue the business case for sustainability informed by an understanding of the impact of current global and local economic, social and environmental pressures (including pandemics)
