Course description

The COLREG Safety Watch Code refers to the regulations under the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGs) that ensure the safety of vessels by maintaining a proper lookout, safe speed, and effective watchkeeping. These rules emphasize the responsibilities of watchkeepers, including continuous monitoring of surroundings, avoiding collisions, and ensuring compliance with navigational lights and signals. Proper adherence to these regulations enhances maritime safety and prevents accidents at sea.
