Course description

Crime Scene Management involves the systematic process of securing, preserving, and documenting a crime scene to ensure that evidence is collected, analyzed, and maintained without contamination. It starts with securing the perimeter to prevent unauthorized access, followed by the careful documentation of the scene through photographs, sketches, and notes. Evidence is then collected and preserved using proper procedures to maintain its integrity for future analysis in investigations or court proceedings.

Criminal Profiling is a technique used by law enforcement to analyze the behaviors and patterns of criminals in order to identify potential suspects. It involves studying crime scene evidence, victimology, and the nature of the crime to create a psychological and behavioral profile of the offender. Profiling helps investigators predict the characteristics, motives, and habits of the perpetrator, narrowing down suspects and aiding in solving cases, especially in serial crimes.
