Course description

An Efficient Deck Hand (EDH) is a skilled crew member responsible for maintaining and operating a vessel's deck. Duties include mooring, cargo handling, maintenance, and safety procedures. This role is crucial for smooth maritime operations and adherence to safety regulations. Proper training ensures efficiency and readiness for advanced seafaring roles.

What will i learn?

• Understands the basic ships operation and Navigational watchkeeping duties.
• The operation of Lifesaving and Fire Fighting appliances.
• Practical knowledge of Shipboard maintenance
• Demonstrate good working knowledge of a Seaman’s duties and responsibilities, as described in relevant sections of the Code of Safe Working Practices (COSWP).
• Demonstrate Practical Rope Work.
