Course description

Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Compatibility (EMC) focus on the unwanted effects of electromagnetic waves on electronic systems and methods to minimize disruptions. EMI can degrade device performance, while EMC ensures electronic systems operate harmoniously. This field is crucial in designing reliable communication, automotive, aerospace, and industrial electronics. Understanding EMI/EMC helps in developing shielding, filtering, and grounding techniques for compliance with industry standards.

What will i learn?

• Knowledge on understanding operation of electromagnetic Waves and their responses and effects
• Diagnose and solve basic electromagnetic compatibility problems through Analytical skills Identifying of EMI hotspot and various techniques like Grounding, Filtering, Soldering, etc
• Understand the effect of EM noise in system environment and its sources and there by understanding the Problems and finding the solution.
• Developing knowledge about tools for understanding the functions of a ground, understanding about cables and connectors to design using the same. Hands-on experience with various aspects of shielding by using various simulators.
