Course description

Evolutionary Biology is the study of how life evolves through genetic changes, natural selection, and adaptation. It explores the origins of species, evolutionary processes, and the genetic basis of traits. This field integrates genetics, paleontology, and ecology to understand biodiversity and species evolution. Evolutionary biology provides insights into medicine, conservation, and the history of life on Earth.

What will i learn?

  • CO1 Students understand and explain the main forces of evolution (natural selection, sexual selection, genetic drift). and the interplay among them, both over ecological and evotionary time.
  • COs Course Outcomes Mapping COs with POs (High-3, Medium-2, Low-1)
  • CO2 Students understand the history of life; the evolution of humans
