Course description

Farm machinery and power focus on the use of agricultural equipment and energy sources to enhance farming efficiency and productivity. It includes tractors, plows, harvesters, and irrigation systems powered by fuel, electricity, or renewable energy. Advanced mechanization reduces labor, saves time, and improves crop yield. Efficient machinery management ensures sustainable and cost-effective farming operations.

What will i learn?

• CO1: To understand the working principle of different farm machinery systems and parts of internal combustion engines
• CO2: To equip students with the technical knowledge and skills required for the operation of Tillage, Sowing, intercultural, plant protection, harvesting, and post-harvesting machinery needed for agricultural operations
• CO3: To train the students with skills required for the operation, maintenance, and selection of farm machinery for appropriate farm operations in real field conditions
