Course description

Marine engines are specialized engines used to propel ships, boats, and other maritime vessels. They are typically powered by internal combustion engines, such as diesel or gas turbines, designed to operate efficiently in harsh marine environments. Marine engines are built for high endurance and must meet strict regulations regarding fuel efficiency, emissions, and reliability. There are two main types: inboard engines (located within the vessel’s hull) and outboard engines (mounted externally on the boat). These engines provide the necessary power for both propulsion and auxiliary systems, ensuring smooth operation for both commercial and recreational vessels.
