Course description

Reverse Engineering & Rapid Prototyping involve the process of analyzing and reconstructing existing products to improve design, performance, and manufacturing efficiency. Reverse engineering extracts design data from physical objects using 3D scanning and CAD modeling, while rapid prototyping enables quick fabrication of models using technologies like 3D printing and CNC machining. These techniques are widely used in product development, innovation, and industrial manufacturing.

What will i learn?

• Use the Digitized Shape Editor (DSE) workbench
• Import and process the digitized data (scans or clouds of points),
• Quick Surface Reconstruction (QSR) from the digitized data.
• Create a mesh and extract characteristic curves to create surfaces using point cloud data
